Welcome to TechHire Clackamas
TechHire Clackamas* is funded by a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) grant designed to provide young adults, ages 17 to 29, and front-line incumbent workers with the skills they need - through innovative training approaches, specialized services and one-on-one guidance and support - to gain employment in and advance to new positions in H-1B occupations in the manufacturing and technology industries.
Through TechHire, we can provide:

- Are you between 17 and 29 years old?
- Are you interested in work or training in advanced manufacturing, technology or health sciences?
If you said "yes" to both of these questions, you could be eligible for TechHire services.
TechHire Trainings
This accelerated, one-term program is designed to prepare students for employment as Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Operators. The training is designed to provide qualified participants with the skills and credentials needed to fill open, in-demand, technical positions in the precision machining sector.
Topics include:
- Basic competency with common machine tools
- CNC operations
- Blueprint reading
- Career readiness
- Resume building
- Shop math
- Inspection and quality control
This training is offered every term!
Classes begin in early June, September, January and April at Clackamas Community College's Oregon City campus.
This program prepares students to succeed as mechanical maintenance technicians. Students study subjects from a wide variety of disciplines ranging from welding to fluid power.

- Machining for fabrication and maintenance

- Computer literacy for technicians

The certified nursing assistant program provides students with the skills to perform basic-level nursing care. Certified Nursing Assistants are defined by law as people who assist licensed nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care. This course is approved by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
Students learn:
- Introduction to health care facilities
- Communication
- Basic body structure and function
- Patient needs
- Preventing infection
- Body mechanics
