Integrated Pest Management

Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.

The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned pesticide applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.

    We will be spot treating weeds and grasses using Ranger Pro EPA# 524-517 in the bed areas of the OC campus starting Tuesday, July 7- Thursday, July 9. Start times will be 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Re-entry is when dry.
