Graduation
At CCC, we believe keeping an eye on the future is the best way to stay focused on your goals. When it comes to graduating, the team in Graduation Services can help you stay on track to complete your degree.
Getting ready to graduate?
Complete the simple steps below to get to your finish line.
Steps for Graduation
It is strongly recommended that students submit an application for graduation two terms before their anticipated term of completion. (For example, spring term graduates should apply during fall term). CCC accepts applications for graduation up until the sixth week of the current term the student is graduating in. Applications for graduation for Spring 2023 are due no later than May 5, 2023.
The application for graduation is online in the CCC Self Service portal. Log in to myClackamas to access Self Service. Use the Graduation Overview link in Self Service to submit your application for graduation. After you submit your application for graduation, a member of the Graduation Services team will be in touch with you via your student email address (@student.clackamas.edu email) with more information.
Contact gradservices@clackamas.edu if your program of study needs to be updated or if you have any questions about applying for graduation.
If you want to waive or substitute a course for a program requirement, please work with the department chair of that program to submit a Request to Waive or Substitute Course form.

2023 Commencement Ceremony
Clackamas Community College will be holding the commencement ceremony on Friday, June 16, 2023 for the 2022-2023 academic year. More information will be coming. Check back soon!
What is the difference between Graduation and Commencement?
Graduation is when a student is awarded a certificate or degree once they have satisfied all certificate or degree requirements as verified by the Graduation Services Office. After the verification process, the certificate or diploma is printed, mailed and posted to the student's CCC record. The mailing and posting process for certificates and diplomas usually takes 6 to 8 weeks after term grades are recorded.
Commencement is a ceremony that allows students, family and friends to celebrate in the student's academic accomplishments. Participation in the ceremony does not mean the student has graduated and students do not receive their certificates or diplomas at the ceremony.
