Child care on campus

Are you looking for quality child care while you are at work or school? Clackamas Community College and the Clackamas County Children's Commission (ClackCoKids) offer child care on campus in the Family Resource Center (FRC) at no cost to families for children between the ages of birth to 5 years. ClackCoKids supports school readiness through a multi-disciplinary approach.

Full-day and part-day early childhood classrooms:

  • Infant/toddler classrooms for children 6 weeks through 3 years
  • Preschool classrooms for children ages 3 to 5 years
  • Research-based curriculum to develop cognitive, physical, social and emotional growth, individualized for every child’s unique needs and abilities
  • Nutrition education and healthy meals served family-style, with support for dietary restrictions
  • Free screenings to assess child development, dental health, vision and hearing; with follow-up and treatment support
  • Immunization support
  • Early childhood mental health and early intervention services

Strengths-based home visiting and parent training/education:

  • Honoring the parent/guardian as the child’s first and most important teacher
  • Nurturing parent/guardian and child attachments and bonds
  • Positive parenting skills and support for challenging behaviors
  • Understanding healthy child development

Critical resource connections for families, including:

  • Secure housing, heat, transportation and food
  • Employment support
  • Mental health services for the family
  • Continuing education opportunities to include GED and job skills programs

Free drop-in child care

CCC Drop-In Child Care

Drop-in available Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | McLoughlin Hall, room M130, Oregon City campus

Need child care while you meet with an instructor, advisor, financial aid, or attend a one- or two-hour class on the Oregon City campus? Show your current student ID, or a “day pass” from the Wacheno Welcome Center desk when you drop off and pick up your child(ren). Available to current and prospective student-caregivers of potty-trained children 3-12 years old.

Parents/guardians must remain on campus and be reachable in case of an emergency.
