A Bioblitz is an event that takes a snapshot of the biodiversity at a specific place. Students, families, scientists and other community members will join together to find and identify as many plants and animals as possible in a 4-hour time period. Experts will be on hand to take small groups out on a tour, guiding them in their discovery and identification of organisms.

This event is free, but registration is required so that we can keep our group sizes small. Resources will be provided to help you with your task, but if you have a phone and want to take pictures, we encourage you to bring that along. Data will be uploaded to iNaturalist. Snacks and beverages will be provided, (thanks to our sponsor).

Thanks to our sponsor, Clackamas Water Environment Services!

This event is hosted by the Greater Oregon City Watershed Council and Clackamas Community College's Environmental Learning Center. We are grateful for the leadership of two AmeriCorps volunteers in its planning and coordination!
