CCC Seeks Applicants for Budget Committee

OREGON CITY – Help make a difference in higher education. The Clackamas Community College Budget Committee is seeking a new citizen representative from West Linn or Wilsonville to fill the remaining two years of a term. The vacancy is due to committee member Betty Reynolds being appointed to the college’s board of education. The term will end June 30, 2020.

The budget committee meets each spring to deliberate on the proposed budget and approve it, before sending it to the CCC Board of Education for approval. Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed.

The budget committee includes the CCC Board of Education and seven volunteers appointed by the board for three-year terms. Budget committee members represent each of the college’s six zones. The current opening is for Zone 5 (West Linn/Wilsonville). Applicants must be registered voters and reside in Zone 5. For a district map, one is available online.

Applications must be received by 5 p.m. March 8 and the new committee member will be appointed March 13.
