CCC Offers Wetland Delineation Workshop
OREGON CITY – The Clackamas Community College Environmental Learning Center is offering a three-day lecture and one-day field experience series on wetland delineation March 20-23. This workshop will introduce the science and protocol of wetland delineation. The intended audience includes environmental professionals who work with wetlands, streams and watershed management. Participants will learn about standard methodology, data sources, wetland indicators and regulations, as well as the practical components of an onsite inspection.
Lecture: March 20-22, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Environmental Learning Center
Field practicum:* March 23, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Cost: Four-day series, $590 (students $295). Field practicum only, $230 (students $115)

The lecture consists of 18 hours of instruction, including an open book test. The field practicum will provide hands-on experience in the practice of wetland delineation. Participants will work with the instructor to conduct a comprehensive assessment of a wetland site, practice the identification of wetland indicators and learn the practical components of an onsite investigation. Consists of 6.5 hours of field practicum. Participants in the field practicum are expected to have a basic working knowledge of the wetland delineation process. It will be held at the Three Creeks natural area adjacent to the CCC Harmony campus.
There are a limited number of scholarships available that reduce the cost of registration by 30 percent for those eligible.
