Become an Accounting Clerk at Clackamas Community College and in one year, you can earn your certificate to begin work in tax preparation, financial reporting and more.
From investigating accounting discrepancies to generating financial reports and statements, accounting clerks perform a number of roles in all different types of businesses including large multi-national corporations and small local companies. Graduates of the Accounting Clerk program at Clackamas Community College can go on to specialize in tax preparation or general accounting assistant work. This program can be completed entirely online, and there are also in-person classes for those interested.

Curriculum includes basic bookkeeping and accounting, including manual and computerized data entry, transaction analysis, preparation of financial statements and other related tasks.
