Testing and Placement Services
Testing Center Open Hours
Testing center hours and services vary by campus. Please see the information for the testing center location you are interested in below.
Testing is available by appointment only. Contact the specific campus testing center location to make your testing appointment in advance.

CCC instructors can request that the testing center proctor an exam for individual students who need make-up exams and testing with accommodations. The testing center does not have capacity to proctor tests for entire classes at the same time. Proctored testing in the center includes in-person and online proctoring via Moodle by appointment.
Instructors, complete and submit the Proctor Request Form and notify the student to make the testing appointment.

Testing and Placement Services Guidelines
Call the testing
center to check the center’s hours and days that your type of testing will be available. Please ensure you leave yourself enough time to complete your test within the posted hours. You will need to make an appointment in advance prior to testing.
You will be asked to observe the following rules:
- Picture ID is required
- Only authorized materials are allowed on the desks
- Electronic devices must be powered off and stowed away (includes tablets and phones)
- Bathroom breaks are not allowed for tests shorter than three hours
- If you are caught cheating, your test will be collected and you will be asked to leave
- Food, drinks, cell phones, backpacks and other personal items are not allowed in the testing rooms
- Only test takers and CCC staff are allowed in the testing rooms
- Unattended children are not permitted in the waiting area while you are testing
- Testing ends 10 minutes before the office closes
Our testing environment can be distracting. You are welcome to bring earplugs if they will help.

Evaluation Exams and Placement Tests Offered at CCC
Placement steps for new students
- Complete PASS Intake Form
- Provide student ID
- High school transcript (unofficial copy)
- Previous test scores (SAT, ACT, GED, etc.)
- Previous college credits earned (AP, IB, ACC, other transcripts)
- A PASS advisor will contact you to review the above placement documents and consider your input and educational goals. The PASS advisor will determine your math and writing placements or decide whether placement tests are necessary to assess skill levels.

All candidates are responsible for arranging their appointment online and need to come prepared with the materials needed for their specific exam. Candidates are responsible for any fees or rescheduling that may incur as a result of a missed appointment.
Lockers will be provided for your personal belongings.
Clackamas Community College is a certified GED testing site. Tests are offered in English and Spanish.
Tests are available at these times:
- Harmony campus: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., by appointment only
- Oregon City campus: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., by appointment only
- Wilsonville campus: Thursdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., by appointment only
Cost is $38 per test. Contact GED.com to schedule and pay for your GED test.
You will earn your GED certificate as soon as you pass all four tests:
- Reasoning Through Language Arts: 155 minutes
- Mathematical Reasoning: 120 minutes
- Social Studies: 75 minutes
- Science: 95 minutes
You are invited to attend the full graduation ceremony in June upon passing.
CCC Classroom Testing
- If a CCC student is unable to take an exam with the rest of their class, some instructors may allow the student to test in one of the testing centers. Arrangements must first be made with your instructor.
- Instructors complete and submit the Proctor Request Form and notify the student to make the testing appointment.
Your instructor will provide Testing and Placement Services with your test and proctoring information, so make sure you are clear with your instructor about which CCC campus is most convenient for you.
As soon as the specified testing center has received your test, you may make an appointment to take the test. Be sure to verify the office hours of the testing center where you arranged the test.
