Study Abroad
Expand your horizons and immerse yourself in a different culture through a study abroad trip at CCC. Study abroad programs at CCC take learning beyond the classroom, offering memorable experiences and one-of-a-kind opportunities to explore a subject and enrich your education. You can even earn college credit while you travel!
Our goal is to facilitate quality global learning experiences for our college community. CCC supports international travel for learning that strengthens the fulfillment of the college’s mission which includes providing high-quality education and training that is adaptable to changing needs while valuing diversity, empathy and respect. Our study abroad student learning outcomes further support this mission by providing the following:
- Experiences of different cultures and perspectives
- Exploration of opportunities for cultural exchange
- Communication to the college community and beyond about globalization and its effects.
Study Abroad in Ireland (Dec. 7-19, 2024)
Trip highlights include:
- Celtic mythology
- Irish history: ancient tombs, castles, Ballyshannon famine site, local museums
- Traditional city life: Dublin, Bundoran, Sligo, Donegal
- Cavan Burren Geopark, Yeats Country and Lake Isle of Inisfee
- Northern Ireland: Berry City Bogside, Bloody Sunday Museum
- Belleek Pottery factory tour, Sliabh Liag Cliffs
The cost is approximately $3,800 (CCC tuition not included).
Includes airfare, accommodations, most meals, in-country transportation, course related excursions and the required study abroad fee.
To participate, register for one or more of the following courses:
- COMM 140, Intercultural Communication (four credits)
- ENG 251, Celtic Mythology (four credits)
