Oct 3, 2019, 12:41 PM by CCC Staff

OREGON CITY - Clackamas Community College will host a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Talk Oct. 16, 5-6 p.m. featuring a diverse panel of Intel technologists.

Alex Berry, an industrial engineer, will lead the discussion, along with a panel including coders, business analysts, project managers, manufacturers and more, who will share the paths they took to obtain their careers. The panel will help the audience expand their view of STEM, their careers and their education.

The presenters have a passion for diversifying the local STEM pipeline, a term used to describe the education pathway for students seeking careers in the STEM field. The pipeline is a key component of workplace diversity and workforce development used to ensure that qualified candidates fill scientific and technical positions.

The STEM Talk will take place in Gregory Forum on the Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave. Guests are invited to a meet and greet at 4:30 p.m. before the discussion begins. This event is free and open to the public.
